Customise the Hekate theme inside Hekate’s GUI (Nyx).

What You Need

  • Any Switch With CFW
  • Hekate Bootloader Folder & Payload
  • MicroSD Card (64GB+)
  • A Background Image

Change Theme Colour

You can change the theme colour for Hekate’s GUI (Nyx) on the Hekate home screen.

  1. Make sure you have the Hekate bootloader folder on the root of your microSD card, and the corresponding hekate_ctcaer_x.x.x.bin payload. If you don’t have them click the link below and extract the hekate_ctcaer_x.x.x_Nyx_x.x.x.zip to the root of your microSD card.

  1. Insert your microSD card into your Switch > put your Switch into RCM > inject the hekate_ctcaer_x.x.x.bin to boot into Hekate.
  1. Set the Time/Date.

  1. Select Nyx Settings > Color Theme > select the colour > Save & Reload.

Landing Screen

You can select what screen shows when you first boot into Hekate.

  1. On the Hekate home screen, select Nyx Settings > Home Screen and choose from the options in the drop down menu > Save Options > OK > Close.

Custom Background

You can use a custom background image in some screens in Hekate.

  1. Design or choose a picture for your custom background image.
  1. Visit the website below to format your image.

  1. Scroll down to the ‘Color:’ dropdown menu and select: 32 (True color, RGBA).

  1. Under the Resize section, change the dimensions to: 1280×720.
  1. Scroll up, under Status, and click on Download (your image name) to download the converted image.
  1. Rename it to background.bmp.

  1. Copy the background.bmp to the bootloader/res folder on your microSD card.
