Set Up Game Mods

Guide Information

Install and manage game mods on the fly. This guide uses the no blur mod for The Legend of Zelda – Link’s Awakening as an example.

What You Need

Set Up Game Mods

  1. Download the software from the link below.
  1. Put the SimpleModManager.nro into the switch folder on the root of your microSD card.
  1. Create a folder called mods on the root of your microSD card.
  1. Download some mods for the game(s) you want to add mods to from somewhere like GameBanana. You can download the mod used in this guide Here.
  1. Create a new folder inside the mods folder with the name of the game you are adding mods to.

  1. Inside the The Legend of Zelda – Link’s Awakening folder create a new folder called whatever the mod is called.
    • The Legend of Zelda – Link’s Awakening
      • No Blur
  1. Inside the No Blur folder create a new folder called contents.

  1. Open the no_dof_blur.zip and navigate to the title ID folder: 01006BB00C6F0000.
  1. Drag the 01006BB00C6F0000 folder to the contents folder.

  1. Mods come with different folder structures. You can follow the example below if you need to organise them manually.
Example:
/ mods / name of game / name of mod / contents / title ID / whatever is included with your mod in the title ID folder
Example used in this guide:
/ mods / The Legend of Zelda – Link’s Awakening / No Blur / contents / 01006BB00C6F0000 / romfs / region_common / shader / postprocess.bfsha

Enabling / Disabling Mods

  1. Boot Atmosphere CFW and launch SimpleModManager from the hbmenu.
  1. Select the game and the mods you want to activate.
  1. Exit SimpleModManager and load the game, your mods will now be active.
  1. Reverse the process to disable the mods individually or use the Disable all mods function in the Options tab in SimpleModManager.
