Backup Switch keys

Guide Information

Your Switch prod.keys can be used to rescue a bricked/unbootable Switch. They are also required for some homebrew applications to work properly.

What You Need

Backup Switch Keys

  1. Download Lockpick_RCM from the link below.
  1. Put the Lockpick_RCM.bin into the bootloader/payloads folder on your microSD card.
  1. Boot Hekate and launch Lockpick_RCM.bin from the payloads tab.
  1. Select Dump from sysNAND. Lockpick_RCM will dump the prod.keys, title.keys and dev.keys to the switch folder on your microSD card.
  1. Exit back to the Lockpick_RCM home screen.
  1. If you have games installed to emuNAND you can dump title.keys by selecting Dump from EmuNAND in Lockpick_RCM.
  1. Either reboot to Hekate or power off and copy the prod.keys, title.keys and dev.keys from the switch folder on your microSD card to your PC.
  1. Mariko Switch – Can also dump partialaes.keys by selecting Dump Mariko Partials from the Lockpick_RCM main menu, then select Dump Mariko Partials from the next menu.

  1. Lockpick_RCM will dump the partialaes.keys to the switch folder on your microSD card. Press the power button or a volume button to return to the menu, then select Back and power off and power back on to restart the modchip again and fix the keys.
  1. Copy the partialaes.keys from the switch folder on your microSD card to your PC.
