Format MicroSD Card To FAT32

Guide Information

Format your microSD card to the recommended FAT32 format for CFW usage.

  • 10+ Minutes
  • This will wipe the contents and any partitions on the microSD card.

What You Need

  • Unpatched/Modchipped Switch
  • Hekate Bootloader Folder & Payload
  • MicroSD Card (64GB+)

Format MicroSD Card To FAT32

  1. Make sure you have the Hekate bootloader folder on the root of your microSD card, and the corresponding hekate_ctcaer_x.x.x.bin payload. If you don’t have them click the link below and extract the hekate_ctcaer_x.x.x_Nyx_x.x.x.zip to the root of your microSD card.

  1. Insert your microSD card into your Switch > put your Switch into RCM > inject the hekate_ctcaer_x.x.x.bin to boot into Hekate.
  1. Set the Time/Date.

  1. On the Hekate home screen, select Tools > Partition SD Card > OK.

  1. Ensure the Green HOS bar is full, then select Next Step > Start on the Partition Manager screen, then tap the Power Button to confirm.

  1. Allow Hekate to finish formatting your microSD card.
  1. Select OK > Close > Home.
